AIDA TLISH

Aida Tlish is based in Genoa, Italy and started participating in many art exhibitions at a young age. Indeed she pursues her artistic activity in Italy and her paintings have also been permanently exhibited in two historical museums of Italy – the first museum is ‘Palazzo Sanseverino-Falcone dei Principi di Bisignano’ in Cosenza, and the second is ‘Castello di San Pelagio, Room: Gabriele D’Annunzio’ in Padua.
In this connection, Aida Tlish’s work is characterised by refined abstractionism. Indeed she often represents figures which are stylised in chromatic contexts that stir the conscience and evoke a multitude of emotions and reactions in the viewer.
Given the above, the female protagonist plays a seminal role in the artistic oeuvre of Aida Tlish. Indeed the artist portrays the female figure and shape not only from an aesthetic and visual perspective, but in the process also illuminates the indomitable spirit, regal aura and strong will of the women depicted in her paintings.
Moreover, the ambience, colours and backgrounds in which the female figures of her paintings are immersed in, facilitate the manifestation of their authentic and undaunted character as well as their inherent dignity and humanity. Most significantly, the burdens, hardships, life experiences, struggles as well as the trials and tribulations of her female protagonists are duly reflected in the paintings of Aida Tlish.
As a result, there are no shadows in the artworks of Aida Tlish since she reveals in her canvases all that is invisible to the eye. Indeed her female characters are on a continuous quest for authenticity and purity and are brimming with hope, aspiring towards a glorious future.
