Play+Grow by Elshaday Tamene is a purpose-driven initiative that empowers children aged 7–12 to build essential life skills through guided, play-based experiences. By blending storytelling, creative challenges, and reflection, we help young minds develop emotional intelligence, social confidence, and resilience all in a joyful, supportive environment.

What We Do
Through a series of themed workshops, we create safe spaces where children can explore topics like empathy, self-awareness, teamwork, and creative thinking.These sessions are more than just activities, they are transformative experiences that help children grow from the inside out
How It Started
Play+Grow was founded by Elshaday Tamene, inspired by her own journey. Growing up, Elshaday struggled with emotional expression and social confidence. She realized that many of these challenges begin in middle childhood, a time when the right guidance could change everything.
Play+Grow was born from a simple yet powerful vision: to give children what she once needed, a space to explore, express, and grow without fear. What began as a personal mission has now become a movement, touching the lives of children and families through heart-centered experiences.
Our Impact & Future Vision
Since our launch, Play+Grow has already witnessed powerful transformations. Children leave our workshops feeling prouder, more imaginative, and more connected to themselves and to others.
Looking ahead, our vision is to:
